Hiedi Handford
Hiedi Handford is a dedicated healer, educator, advocate, lobbyist, and founder of My Medicine Consulting. Hiedi got involved in the Cannabis industry in Montana in 2009 when she found herself a patient and she published a "first of it's kind" in the Nation magazine, Montana Connect - a Trade publication for the blossoming Cannabis Industry in Montana.
Hiedi has championed pediatric application since her first issue was published in 2010 and has been a tireless advocate for medical cannabis patients ever since. In addition to her extensive travels with Irvin Rosenfeld, the longest surviving Federal Marijuana Patient in the Nation, Hiedi spent extensive time in Colorado from 2010-2013 working with Industry leaders. In December of 2012 Hiedi and a team of advocates took on the Attorney General of Colorado in a one sided forum in Eagle Colorado and WON. Sweetleaf Pioneer Dispensary is alive and doing very well to this day due to the groups efforts against a one-sided forum with the cards stacked against them. In addition to the fight in Eagle, Hiedi rallied for patients and providers in Colorado who were under prosecution regarding cannabis. Both of those cases were successful resulting in Not Guilty verdicts in trial juries.
Hiedi has been a Patient Navigator since 2010 - guiding thousands of patients through the many varied medical marijuana programs across the Nation. With her Navigation Services patients have full counseling, and access to professionals to assist in their treatment options. Hiedi works to help educate their current family and physicians, as well as helping patients to understand the various methods of ingestion and dosing.
Hiedi has lobbied in front of numerous legislatures and city councils, county commissions, as well as educating the general public in a multitude of forums. Hiedi has helped to write legislation and also helped to craft and draft the petition for Sensible Florida (Regulate Florida) as a founding member of the drafting board.
Regulate Florida (Sensible Florida) is the first adult use petition to achieve Supreme Court review in Florida history. It was a fantastic achievement.
Hiedi lobbied for Cannabis reform 2 sessions in Montana, and Hiedi also lobbied in Michigan and put the brakes on Senator King wanting to remove glaucoma as a condition in 2012.
Hiedi also was a critical component in the beginning of CannaTrac, an extensive banking system for the cannabis industry. She maintains shares in the company to this day as it launches nationwide.
Hiedi also co-hosted and co-produced a 2 hour daily Cannabis News Show with Danna Goldhaber. All broadcasts are still available at BlogTalk Radio and can be found linked below. The show went on for 6 months, 5 days a week, 2 hours per day.
Hiedi has multitudes of contacts from all walks of life from political, to medical, to legal, etc in many states. Hiedi also has 15 years state government experience, so she knows her way around a Capitol and governmental hurdles and challenges.
Currently - Hiedi is in high demand for her custom formulations. Hiedi has been working with Terpenes and terpene enhancements for over a decade now and is considered a leader in the industry when it comes to helping with difficult cases.
